gallo-roman tongeren

Tongeren is the oldest city in Belgium. It was founded in 15 BC. My teacher recommended me to visit it and especially the Gallo-Roman museum with Salagassos exhibition. I went by train and it took me 20 min and 5,20e (return) to get there from Hasselt. First thing i did - just found the tourist office and asked for a map. Next stop was the Gallo-Roman museum. There are 2 exhibitions at a moment - permanent and Salagassos.
In Belgium there is a system that if you are under 26, you get a 50% discount in some places and in museums it works too.
It is a big museum and all in all it took me at least 2 hours to explore both exhibitions. First i went through the permanent one, telling about history of human race and history and development of Tongeren. The possibility to take pictures inside was very surprising, so i took a few pictures and made a video :)
The second part, "Salagassos - City of Dreams", is about archaeological site in Turkey, excavations and history of this place.
I liked the museum very much, but after i was already tired and hungry, so went for a small walk across the town and found a place to eat and returned back. There is also on Sundays the biggest flea market in Europe, as i read somewhere, so next time i'll go there on Sunday and with a good weather outside :)
